Everyone was surprised just how many beautiful daffodils and other Spring flowers were in such good condition for the show on Saturday 27th March. The Women’s Institute domestic sections were very well supported and the children had worked very hard to produce their pasta necklaces and biscuits.

The Rohan Williams Tankard was won by Jane Fairweather who had her best show winning 17 first prizes, 1 second and 1 third prize. Many congratulations to her for such a huge effort. Jane also won the Daffodil Society Bronze medal.

The Mill Hill Trophy went to Margaret Peart who also managed 4 first prizes and 1 third prize. Shirley Pash won the Daffodil Society Diploma along with 8 first prizes, 4 second and 3 third prizes.

Other multiple prize winners were Fiona Drasar – 4 firsts, 7 seconds and 5 thirds; and Jane Hobsley won 4 firsts, 1 second and 2 thirds.

People worked very hard to put on this Spring Show and we thank them all and our supporters and visitors who came on the day.

We hope to see very many of you at the Summer Show on Saturday 3rd July in Kemp Hall and on Totteridge Green.
